The Belton Education Foundation (BEF) is an independent, community-based, non-profit organization that supports Belton ISD student achievement and success. Founded in 1992, our mission is to partner with the community to provide grant funding to teachers, scholarships to Belton ISD graduates, and support other programs in line with Belton ISD initiatives.

WHAT WE DO

We provide resources for innovative programming and scholarships to enhance the quality of education for the leaders and workers of tomorrow.

Current Initiatives:

  • Teacher grants: We award grants to teachers for innovative classroom and campus projects that stimulate learning and excellence. Every campus receives funding through campus grants that focus on 21st century hands-on, critical thinking skills.
  • Scholarships: We award scholarships to Belton ISD graduates to ensure access to post-secondary education. This currently includes over 100 scholarships funded directly by community members each year.
  • District Grants: We support other programs that align with Belton ISD’s vision and goals, such as dual credit financial aid, elementary literacy, art programs, facility improvements, and continuing education scholarships for educators.

WHAT WE’VE ACHIEVED

We have made a significant impact on the lives of thousands of students and educators in Belton ISD.

  • Awarding over 400 grants totaling over $750,000 to teachers and campuses.
  • Awarding over $2.9 million in scholarships to over 2,700 seniors.
  • Awarding over $100,000 in grants to paraprofessionals.
  • Supporting special district projects such as the Wall Street Auditorium renovation, the tricycle track, the ag barn entrance gate, and the food truck bus.

Receiving a BEF scholarship has positively impacted me because it took a big weight off my shoulders about how I was going to pay for college. The scholarship helped me to not have to stress as much about paying for my education and let me be able to focus more on my studies and my soccer career.
